没有人心里醒悟，也没有人有知识或聪明，说，我曾把一半在火中烧了，在炭火上烤过饼；我也烤过肉吃。这剩下的，我岂要作成可憎的物么？我岂可向木块叩拜呢？

And no one considers in his heart, / And there is no knowledge or understanding to say, / I have burned half of it in the fire, / And I have even baked bread over its coals; / I have roasted flesh and eaten it. / Then shall I make the rest of it into an abomination? / Shall I fall down before a block of wood?

And none taketh it to heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire, and have also baked bread upon the coals thereof, I have roasted flesh, and eaten [ it ] , and with the rest thereof shall I make an abomination? shall I bow down to a block of wood?
